Mr. William ''Billy" Gibbs, Jr.

Mr. William “Billy” Gibbs, Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. He was born on July 16, 1943 in Newberry, SC to the late Mr. William Gibbs, Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruby Lucille Miller Gibbs. Mr. Gibbs was a licensed barber, public safety officer, professional painter, and custodian. Mr. Gibbs retired from his custodial duties from Richland School District Two where he worked at Richland Northeast High School. Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories, are his wife, Mrs. Margaret S. Hawkins Gibbs of the home; one daughter, Latasha A. Gibbs of Columbia, SC, two sisters, one-sister-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Shiloh A.M.E. Church, Prosperity, SC. Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.
