Mr. Willie Ray Boozer of 2061 Smith Road Apt. C 8, Newberry, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his residence. He was born on December 5, 1943 in Silverstreet, SC to the late Mr. Thomas Boozer and the late Mrs. Nora Harris Boozer.
Willie was a member of Little River Baptist Church in Silverstreet, SC. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was predeceased by two brothers, John L. Boozer and Olin Boozer; two sisters, Annie B. Newsome and Thomasina Burnett.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories include one son, Raymond Boozer of Philadelphia, PA; three daughters, Deborah Taylor, Tonya Grant and Rhonda Boozer all of Philadelphia, PA; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Nathaniel Boozer (Alice) of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Fannie L. Cannon of Greenwood, SC and Ida M. Werts (Curtis) of Newberry, SC; one brother-in-law, Willie Newsome; and other relatives and friends
The family will receive friends at the home at his sister, Ida M. Werts (Curtis) 4226 Hwy 34-121, Newberry.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Little River Baptist Church in Silverstreet, SC. Burial with Military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
