Mrs. Clover Mae Hawkins Gallman of 1306 Hunt Street, Apt. 105 entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital in Newberry, SC. She was born on March 3, 1947 in Prosperity, SC to the late Mr. W.C. Hawkins and the late Mrs. Bruth Neater Wise Hawkins.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member of usher board and a custodian.
Mrs. Gallman was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Eugene Saddler; two brothers, Lennie B. Hawkins and Henderson Sims Hawkins and one sister, Brucie Lee Hawkins.
Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include one son, Edward Saddler, Jr. (Shuveta) of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Yvette Bookman of Clinton, SC; a loving father to her children, Edward Saddler, Sr.; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia Hawkins of Washington, DC, Elaine H. Maybin of Newberry, SC, Janice H. McCain (James) of Westville, SC and Bertha H. Gallman of Columbia, SC; one aunt, Jacqueline Hawkins of Gambrill, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend, Rev. Paula Dudley.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Newberry, SC. Due to current health concerns, the family asks that you wear a mask and observe social distancing requirements.
