Mrs. Hattie Lee Hall Newman, daughter of the late Mr. Nathaniel “Sonny”Hall and Mrs. Marie Davis Hall, was born February 27, 1936, in Newberry County. She died on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Hospice House of Piedmont in Greenwood, SC. Hattie was the widow of the late Mr. Floyd Newman.
She was a caring, and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her gracious spirit and kind demeanor. Hattie Newman was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include three daughters, Ms. Ida Newman of Newberry, SC, Ms. Dorothy Jones of Killeen, TX, Ms. Flora Mozee of the home; a brother, Mr. Johnny B. Hall (Bernice) of Clinton, SC; ten grandchildren including one reared in the home, Justin D. Mozee; twenty-six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one aunt, Eliza Epps of Whitmire, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Newberry, SC. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
