Mrs. Joann Cannon Boyd

Mrs. Joann Cannon Boyd of 1125 Old Hilton Road, Chapin, SC entered into Eternal rest on Monday, August 13, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Chapin, SC on May 22, 1952 to the late Mr. Henry Cannon and the late Mrs. Issie Lee Monts Cannon.

Joann was a member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Elizabeth Cannon, Henrietta Geiger and Louise Cannon Boyd; two brothers, Leroy Cannon and Alverse Cannon.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include one son, Evans Tyrone Cannon (Lawanda) of Chapin, SC; granddaughter,  Alicia Gutierrez of Atlanta, GA; two step sons, Frederick Houseal of Little Mountain, SC and Scotty Toland of Lexington, SC; brother, Haskell Cannon of Chapin, SC; sister, Edna Williams (Jeffery) of Columbia, SC; adopted sister, Ruth McCants of Irmo, SC; sisters-in-law, Rose Tobe (Eddie) of Pomaria, SC, Lillie Ruff of Pomaria, SC, Loretta Moon of Little Mountain, SC and Mattie Dorley of Sumter, SC and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home (1125 Old Hilton Road, Chapin, SC).

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC.
