Mrs. Princetta Harris Obituary

On April 26, 2018, as the sun set and just at the close of another day, God dispatched his angels to camp around her beside so that she may leave her earthly home peacefully and arrive at her heavenly home to receive her just reward.

Mrs. Princetta R. Harris, widow of the late Albert R. Harris, Sr., born August 12, 1931 in Chapin, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Albert C. Ramey and late Earnestine Mayers & Eules Ramey.

Princetta was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her journey’s end. She was active in the Missionary Society, Senior Choir and Deaconess Ministry. She served as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday School Superintendent for many years.  She loved her Mt. Zion Baptist Church family dearly.

She attended the High School division of Harbison Junior College in Irmo, SC. She continued her education at Barber Scotia College in Concord, NC receiving a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Masters of Science in Education from North Carolina A & T University in Greensboro, NC.

As an educator, Mrs. Harris touched the lives of many in the schools and communities in which she taught. She taught school for 34 years. After retirement Mrs. Harris continued to substitute teach in classrooms in District 5 for nearly 15 years.
