Obituary
God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed her weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be thine.”
Mrs. Shirley A. Greenwood Maybin, beloved daughter of the late Archie L. Greenwood, Sr. and Rosa L. Collins Greenwood was born August 30, 1937 in Newberry, SC and entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2022 at Newberry Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Mr. Alonzo Maybin, her two sons, Danny Maybin and Rex Maybin and one grandchild, Carlita N. Cheeks.
Loving and precious memories will continue through her daughter, Ms. Vicki M. Hunter and a great grand-daughter Hunter Cheek- Rice of Newberry, nieces, nephews and devoted family friends, Mrs. Alice Hill, Mrs. Renee Wallace, Mr. Frank Burnside and Mrs. Floree Brown.
At the request of the family there will not be a public visitation.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Werts Cemetery.
