Mrs. Tracy M Gary

God saw the road was getting rough, the hill was hard to climb; He closed her eyelids and whispered, “Peace be thine.”

Mrs. Tracy M. Gary, beloved daughter of Henry L. Blair and Norma Jean Mayers was born on February 7, 1969 in Newberry, SC. Tracy departed her life on Friday, September 8, 2023 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

She was a graduate of Mid Carolina High School and was known to her family for always having a positive spirit and caring for her kids and grandkids.

Mrs. Gary was predeceased by her grandmother, Bessie C. Mayers; three uncles, Frank H. Hicks, Freddie L. Bates and Paul A. Blair along with two aunts, Marion M. Flemon and Rachel A. Cromer.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her husband, Lee Gary Jr; her mother, Norma J. Mayers; her father, Henry L. Blair all of Newberry, SC; three loving children, Alexis Hicks (Davin), Montana L. Mayers and Markevis J. Gary (Sue) all of Newberry, SC; fourteen grandchildren, two great grand-children; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Gary of Newberry, SC; four siblings, Karen A. Mayers, Tammy A. Werts (Forrest), Shoney L. Mayers and James A. Mayers all of Newberry, SC; aunts, Barbara J. Cannon of Newberry, SC, Dorothy A. Mayers (Julius) of Pomaria, SC, and Gloria J. Ruff of Newberry, SC; a sister in -law, Johnnie Gary Tucker of Greenville, SC; three devoted friends, Barbara Boyd of Prosperity, SC, Lynn Wright of Newberry, SC and Tracy Ellis along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 1pm to 6pm in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gary will be conducted on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary of St. James AME Church, 8321 US- 176, Pomaria, SC 29126. 

Interment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
