Mrs. Willie Mae Mayers Davis entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, SC. She was born on February 28, 1933, in Little Mountain, SC, to the late Mr. Pinkney P. Mayers and the late Mrs. Annie Bowers Mayers.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mr. Lawrence T. Davis, Sr.; two sons, Earnest Michael Mayers, Sr., and Lawrence “Teddy” Davis, Jr.; one granddaughter, Saranne Rebekah Wright; four brothers, Pinkney Mayers, Jr., Ladell Mayers, Grover Mayers and Joseph Elijah Mayers; seven sisters, Helen Saxon, Pearlene Burch, Edith Jackson, Evangileen Eleazer, Christine Mayers, Lora Mae Francis Mayers and Merlain Flanzie Williams.
Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious loving memories include her two sons, Fredrick Vincent Davis and Reginald Davis both of Little Mountain, SC; granddaughters, LaShoun Mayers Wright (Thomas) and Alicia Mayers (Trandy) both of Little Mountain, SC, and Danielle Davis of Columbia, SC; four grandsons, Earnest Mayers, Jr. (Vickie) of Prosperity, SC, DeWayne Davis (Shaquetta) of Columbia, SC, Devon Davis (Natalie) of Lexington, SC, and Detarous Davis of Little Mountain, SC; great-grandchildren, Zyayshia Mayers, Dallas Mayers, Aspen Mayers, Trayvon Mayers, Caleb Mayers, Amaya Wise, DeWayne Davis, II, Angela Davis, Kayeden Davis, Kingston Davis and Aria Davis; daughter-in-law, Stella D. Mayers; one sister, MaLinda Mayers (Isreal, Jr.) of Little Mountain, SC; one brother, James Monroe Mayers (Ann) of Little Mountain, SC; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Mayers of Little Mountain, SC, and Syvilla Gordon of Columbia, SC; two nieces reared in the home, Greta Robinson (Tony) and Paula Q. Dudley (Tony) both of Newberry, SC; life long friend, Ms. Vangie Curry of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home, 124 Middlefield Road, Little Mountain.
Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Providence A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service). Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
