Ms. Cynthia L. Whitney

 Ms. Cynthia Lavinia Whitney, affectionately known as "Polly" and "Sandra" was born in Newberry County on December 15, 1952 to the late Joe Eddie Wicker amd Ollie Whitney. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Prisma Health Hospital in Greenville, SC.

Ms. Whitney relocated from Pomaria to Greenville, SC at a young age and was employed with Rolling Green Village. She loved spending time in Pomaria with her family.

Ms.Whitney was preceded in death by a loving grandmother, Mrs. Ella Whitney.

Cherishing her memory are five devoted sisters, Patricia Whitney and Donna Hicks (Frank) of Pomaria, SC, Lorraine Wicker and Brenda Curry of Newberry, SC and Tammy Hall (Johnnie) of Chapin, SC; four brothers, Russell Whitney (Precious) of Lexington, SC, Rickey Whitney (Anita) of Chapin, SC, John David Livingston and Keith Livingston (Shantel) of Greenville, SC; two uncles, Roy Whitney (Marjorie) of Greenville, SC and William Whitney (Margaret) of Pomaria, SC; one precious aunt, Dollie Martain (Roosevelt) of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 1-7 pm in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, September 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. Mark A.M.E. Church, 5091 New Hope Rd. Pomaria, SC 29126.
