Ms. Hattie Rose Kreps

Ms. Hattie Rose Kreps, 78, was born on October 16, 1942 to the late Joseph A. Kreps and Evelyn Margaret Kreps.  She entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Hattie was born in Little Mountain, SC and moved, when she was 8, to Newark, NJ.  She attended Weequahic High School in Newark.  After leaving school, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, School Bus Driver and finally as an Airport Shuttle Driver with Alamo Car Rental.  After her retirement, Hattie moved back to Little Mountain, SC in 2014 and in recent years made her home in Newberry, SC.

She was a faithful member of Victory Outreach Ministries in East Orange, NJ, where she was the "Mother" of the church.

Hattie was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Evelyn Kreps and her son, Lamont Tracy Kreps.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters; Margaret F. Kreps of Florida and Evelyn Kreps of the home, a son; Kenneth (Roslyn) Dobson of New Jersey, 11 grandchildren; Shamir, Nyesha, Kenneth Jr., Jemall, Fantasia, Jaquan, Darius, Helena, Dariyan, Kendra and Lashawn, three great grandchildren; Karrington, Niyon and Nashad, devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, a devoted friend; Eloise Young, two uncles, one aunt and many other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will truly her.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 11 am until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm on the lawn of Wilson Funeral Home.
