Ms. Mamie L. Hair Farrow

Ms. Mamie L. Hair Farrow of Seven Oak Haven Court, Greenwood, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC. She was born in Newberry, SC on June 15, 1956 to Mrs. Elizabeth Hill Hair and the late Mr. J.D. Hair, Sr.

She was a member of Young Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Saluda, SC.

Ms. Farrow retired from Kraft Foods, Newberry, SC.

She was predeceased by two brothers, J.D. Hair, Jr. and Willie James Byrd.  

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hill Hair; two sons, Kelvin Hair, Sr. and Dewayne Farrow, both of Greenwood, SC; three grandchildren, Talamechia Hair, Kelvin Hair, Jr. and Quantavis Dewayne Ligon Farrow; one great grandson, Keyvon Tyrie Hair; brother, R.D. Byrd (Sara) of Newberry, SC; four sisters, Josephine Dawkins and Inez Pitts, both of Newberry, SC, Mattie Mae Davis and Sara Leaks (Johnny), all of Greenwood, SC; uncle, Joe Louis Dowdy of Woonsocket, RI; aunt, Betty Ree Dowdy of Woonsocket, RI; fiancé, Eric Harris; and nieces, including two devoted nieces, Ashley Lartman and Tracy Byrd; nephews, cousins and friends, including a devoted friend, Teresa Ross.

The family receive friends at the home of R.D. Byrd and Sara (137 J.B. Fulmer Court, Newberry, SC).

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Young Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1896 Chappells Hwy, Saluda, SC 29138. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
