Ms. Sara Lucile Greeley Meggett of 365 Meadowlark Road, Little Mountain, SC entered into Eternal rest on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC. She was born on August 11, 1944 in Newberry, SC to the late Mr. Clarence Greeley and the late Jennie Lee Mayers Greeley.
She was a faithful member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC. She was a member of the Woman’s Home Aid Society Lodge # 97, Greeting Committee and the Unique Social Club.
Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include five sons, Johnny Greeley of Ballentine, SC, Abdulah Curry (Lakita) of the home, Rev. Timmie Curry of Savannah, Georgia, Keith Anthony Greeley and Barry Greeley both of the home; two daughters, Paula Curry of Newberry, SC and Sherri Greeley of the home; 17 grandchildren, including two grandsons reared in the home, Willie Greeley and Carlos Greeley and three granddaughters reared in the home, Latesha Greeley, Desaray Greeley and Kenyada Jones; 12 great grandchildren, including a devoted great grandchild, Jamarcus Z. Greeley; two brothers, Willie James Greeley of Newberry, SC and Donnie C. Greeley (Iris) of Ashville, NC; one sister, Mary Sims of Irmo, SC; sister-in-law, Imogene Mayers of Little Mountain, SC and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in Little Mountain, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
