Ms. Sonya Aleeshia Mayers

Ms. Sonya A’Leeshia Mayers, beloved daughter of Claudia Mayers and the late Ralph Scott Bowers was born September 14, 1979 in Newberry, South Carolina. She entered into rest eternal on January 3, 2023 at Lexington Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Imogene B. Mayers; grandfather, Claude Mayers; uncle Jeffery Mayers; aunt, Gloria Bowers; grandmother, Eleanora Bowers and her grandfather, John A. Bowers.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories three children, Xavier Holley, Katrina Holley and Cherrish Mayers all of Little Mountain, SC; her mother, Claudia Mayers of Little Mountain, SC; stepfather, Cecil Hentz, Sr. of Newberry, SC; six brothers, Cecil Hentz Jr., Jeffery Hentz, and Marion Mayers ( Marissa) all of Little Mountain, SC, Terek Meggett of North Carolina, Scott Williams ( Alishia)  and Aaron Hites both of Newberry, SC; one granddaughter, Alaina Wadsworth of Little Mountain, SC; a stepdaughter; Kenyatta Davenport; a special friend, Sellus Stevens; a devoted friend, Jackie Boyd; a devoted cousin and best friend, Lamonica Greeley; six great -aunts, four great- uncles, six uncles, thirteen aunts and a host of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 1 to 6 pm in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of Providence AME Church, 301 Meadowlark Rd, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
