Mrs. Myrlian Rebecca Bowers Dreher, 88, born January 17, 1937, to the late Benjamin Bowers and Myrtice Mayers. She entered into Eternal Rest on June 3, 2025, at her home.
Myrlian was preceded in death by her loving parents, brothers Anthony Sulton, Ervin Sulton, Norman Sulton, Moscow Sulton, Paul Sulton, and sisters Lula Mae Curry and Vera Michelle Bowers.
Those who celebrate and cherish her life include her devoted husband of 73 years, Elbert Dreher, and their seven children, Mack A Dreher (Kaye), Stella D. Mayers, Catha Wise (Larry), Linda Bowers (Jerry), Raynard Dreher (Nancy), Elmer Dreher (Annette), Bryant R Dreher (Pamela).
Grandchildren LaShoun Mayers Wright, Melonie LaVette Dreher, Madrick Dreher, Alicia Mayers, Stephanie Kessler, Latif Bowers, Dewayne Wise, Earnest Mayers Jr, Anthony Taylor, Kevin Dreher, Erica Grant, Ricky Dreher, Eric Dreher, LaToya Dreher, Melissa Campbell, Shamark Wicker, Zachary Dreher, Devon Dreher, Lamont Wicker, Meeka Wicker, Arthur Lawrence, April McCoy, Ashlynn Bracone, and Alexis Prijoles. 60 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and loved ones.
Affectionately known as “Bay” by all who knew her.
She was an honorary mother, grandmother, and aunt to many.
Myrlian was a passionate and dedicated member of the church and in the community. She accepted Christ at the age of 12 and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Chapin, SC, where she faithfully served for many years. During her membership, she served as President of the Missionary Society, President of the Usher Board, President of the Senior Choir, and a member of the Deaconess Ministry and the Pastor’s Aide Ministry.
Myrlian exemplified the role of a Godly woman whose faith guided her through life, marriage, raising her children, and grandchildren. She possessed many talents, including cooking, singing, baking, and a love for helping others. Her humble spirit, joy, and kindness were loved by everyone she met. She always let the light of Jesus shine through all that she touched.
She retired from General Electric/Mepco after 31 years of employment.
She lived the rest of her years traveling and enjoying her family. She lived a life full of faith, love, joy, and the strength of Jesus. She is loved by her family, and her presence will be deeply missed. In our hearts, she shall remain forever.
Visitation will be held 1-5pm Friday June 6, 2025, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.
Funeral Service will be conducted 11am Saturday June 7, 2025, Mt. Zion Baptist Church Chapin, SC.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Family will receive guests at the home 715 Old Lexington Hwy Chapin, SC 29036
