Mrs. Nezie Ree Mayers Bowers was born August 30, 1948, in Little Mountain, SC to the late Broadus Mayers and Sadie Bowers Mayers. Surrounded by her loving family, she entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center.
"Nell" as she was affectionately called, accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Providence AME Church. Nell loved God and had a strong faith in him.
Proceeding her into heaven are two sons, Larence and Stacey Bowers and four siblings, Bobby Mayers, Bernard Mayers, Broadus "Bopeep" Mayers, and Martin "Dennis" Mayers.
Nezie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. To know her was to love her. Although she is no longer physically with us, her kind and loving spirit will forever remain in our hearts and lives.
Nezie leaves those who celebrate her life and cherish precious memories are: husband Emory Bowers, sons, Robert Bowers and Lamont Wicker, all of the home: one Granddaughter, Kayla Garmany and a Great Grandson, Khy'Ree Davis of Chapin, SC.: Three brothers, James Mayers, of White Rock,
SC; Alexander (Berthie) Mayers of Little Mountain, SC, and Johnnie (Melissa) Mayers of Grovetown, GA; Four sisters, Mildred Cannon, Mattie Starks both of Columbia, SC, Nancy (Sylvesta) Bowers and Susan (Julius) Meggett of Little Mountain, SC. One aunt, Minnie Bowers of Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends who will miss her tremendously.

Although our hearts are heavy, we feel honored and blessed to have shared a life with our beloved Nezie Ree Mayers Bowers. A special Thank You to Tiwanda Mayers for her loving and caring spirit. Everyone's prayers, calls, visits, and kind words will forever be remembered. May God continue to bless each and every one of you.
