Ms. Sandra Nelson was born June 30, 1963 in Newberry, SC to Min. Maezell Nelson and the late Samuel "Frank" Nelson.
On March 16, Sandra gained her beautiful angel wings in the comfort of her home.
Sandra was a very vibrant, independent, hardworking, nonsense person. If there was something that she wanted or need to do, she did not stop until she succeeded. Sandra, affectionately known as "Sandy," loved all of her family dearly, immediate and extended. She enjoyed spending time with everyone, especially family functions, and you could always count on her to bring a smile with some "sassy" every time! She was quick to "tell it like it is," but you always knew that it came from of the love of her heart.
At an early age, Sandra joined Little River Baptist Church and was a Sunday School secretary. She was also a member of the Women's Society #38.
Sandra graduated Newberry High School in 1981. When she was 18 years old, she relocated to Los Angeles, CA, where she lived for 7 years, receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Santa Monica College. Later, she made her mark working in entertainment law at a prestigious law firm in Century City, CA. Sandra returned to South Carolina in 1988, working as a paralegal. After leaving the legal field, she continued to have a significant impact on her jobs at Walmart in the Accounting department, and Pioneer Foods as a Lead person of shipping and receiving logistics. She was loved, cherished, and respected by her coworkers wherever she went.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father Samuel "Frank" Nelson and two love bothers Earnest and Leroy Syphertt. Those who celebrate her life and cherish her precious, loving, and lighthearted memories are her beloved and devoted mother, Min. Maezell Nelson, God mother Patsy Ann Workman; one brother, Willie Nelson (Mildred) all of Newberry, SC; two sisters, Annette McGraw (James) of Saluda, SC, and Alecia Nelson of Glenarden, MD. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, whom she cherished as her own childen; nieces Michele and Kelli Nelson, and Tursanee Chaplin; nephews Tevin (Chrisla) and Trey McGraw, Tralin and Tyler Syphertt, and Brandon and Dalyn Nelson.
