Mr. Simmie Lee Reeder Jr. age 73.was born December 17,1951 in Newberry, SC to the late Simmie Reeder Sr and the late Marie Young Reeder. Mr. Reeder transitioned into eternal rest Tuesday May 27, 2025, at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Columbia, SC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Tommie Reeder and Bennie Reeder and three sisters Betty Dewalt, Mattie Wesley and Sarah Waldon.
Simmie was employed at Greenwood Mills for over 30 years. He worked with American Fiber & Finishing until his retirement. He was also a member Sons of Aide Lodge #12.
Mr. Simmie Reeder leaves behind to cherish memories his wife Patricia Reeder; two sons; Horace Reeder (Roshell), Derrick Reeder (Marlana), one sister; Linda J. Davis, seven sisters-in-law five brothers-in-law, eight grandchildren one of which was reared in the home ReChelle', four great grandchildren three of the home Ma'Kenya, MacKenzie and Makaias, devoted nephew Erskine Waldon dedicated sister-in-law Tracy Wilson, special friends Joe Simpson and James Lyles Jr. a host of many relatives and friends who mourn his transition.
Visitation will be held 1-5pm Friday May 30, 2025, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC
Funeral Service will be held 11am Saturday May 31, 2025, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.
Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Newberry, SC.
Family will receive guests at the home 1414 Garys Lane Newberry, SC 29108
