Trina Ann (Scott) Singley

Trina Ann Scott Singley was born on January 27, 1963, in Newberry, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 3, 2026. She was the daughter of the late George Scott and Bunnie Ree Pitts Scott. She was also the granddaughter of the late Luther Pitts and Annie Mae Brown Pitts.

In 1982, she married Michael Dean Singley, and from that union three sons were born: Martin, McKenzee, and Tavaris. In 1982, she traveled the world as a service member's spouse. After many years of rest and travel, she returned to the United States and began a career in the Health Care field and taking care of her children.

Loyal, committed, and strong are just a few words to describe Trina; she always made time for her family and close friends, whether it was a phone call or eating out, which she did often. Trina’s home was always open to her sons and grandkids.

Encouraged at a very early age by her mother and grandmother, she began pursuing her faith in God. She joined St. Vaughnville Baptist Church, and in her adult years she regularly attended both St. Matthew Baptist and Metropolitan Baptist Church. She also found time to help those in need even while dealing with her own health challenges.

Trina leaves many behind to cherish her precious memories three sons, Martin Scott, McKenzee Scott, and Tavaris Scott; grandchildren: Tavaris, Jr., Tierra, Tyler, Tamir, and Jasmie; brother, Michael Scott (Jaqueline); sister, Michelle Smoot. Forever mother-in-law, Ethel Gary Whitener, and a host of other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.

No public visitation will be held for Ms. Trina S. Singley.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2pm Friday, July 10, 2026, St. Matthew Baptist Church, Newberry, South Carolina.

Interment following the service will take place at Newberry Memorial Gardens, Newberry, South Carolina.
