Willie Hayes Henderson

Mr. Willie Hayes Henderson was born November 17, 1945 in Newberry, SC to the late John Wesley and Willie Mae Smith Henderson. He departed his life at his home in Columbia, SC on July 11,2024.

Hayes attended Gallman High School. Hayes moved to New York at an early age. While In New York he was employed as Librarian at the New York City Library. Upon retirement Hayes moved back to SC until his passing.

He was predeceased in death by 4 brothers Johnny Henderson, David Henderson, Hayward Henderson, Henry L. Henderson. Two sisters also predeceased him Linda Addussabur, and Jo Ann Sligh. 

He leaves two sisters to cherish memerioesYegennia (Richard) Kelly, and Lelia Henderson. A devoted Nephew Reggie Henderson and a host of Nieces, Nephews cousins and friends.  

Memorial Servies will be held Saturday July 20, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home.
