Mr. Steve Bookman

Mr. Steve Bookman, 69, formerly of 3152 Kiblers Bridge Road, Prosperity, South Carolina entered into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Agape Hospice House of the Midlands in Columbia, SC. Born in Prosperity, SC, he was a son of the late Mr. William Furman Bookman and the late Mrs. Sarah Ellen Counts Bookman.

He was predeceased by two brothers, James Preston Bookman and Furman McArthur Bookman.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are five brothers, John Sweetenburg (Lessie) of Pomaria, SC, Richard Bookman (Bessie) of Newberry, SC, George Bookman (Judy) of Prosperity, SC, David Bookman and William Bookman both of Columbia, SC; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Cannon (Willie Ray) of Prosperity, SC, Mrs. Marie “Cookie” White, Mrs. Jeannette Futick (Larry) and Mrs. Catherine Samuel all of Columbia, SC; one aunt, Mrs. Willie Houseal of Little Mountain, SC; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Bookman of Prosperity, SC and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his brother, Richard Bookman (Bessie) (15233 US Highway 176, Newberry, SC).

Funeral service and burial will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Mount Hebron AME Church in Prosperity, SC. (Viewing one hour prior to the service).
