Prayers for the family and friends of this beautiful soul. I've gotten to know only a little about him in the last week through my daughter Mylea #11 LUWBB. Be encouraged that even now he is leaving an impact on those who didn't have the pleasure to know him personally. May God comfort and keep you during this difficult time, and give you a Peace that surpasses all understanding. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Sadden to read of the death of your son. Although I did not know Joshua personally, I do know the pain that comes with the death of a loved one. Because death comes and takes away those we love, the Bible rightly calls death an enemy. However, our loving Creator, Jehovah God, promises at 1 Corinthians 15:26 that death, which is called the last enemy, will be brought to NOTHING! Just think how life will be without ever having to say good-by to our loved ones. By means of the resurrection, God promises that we will be reunited with those we have lost in death, because at Isaiah 25:8 God promises that he will "swallow up death forever." May this sure promise from God who cannot lie, bring you and your family comfort and peace as you await the fulfillment of God's promise to resurrect Joshua and give him life again!! You have my deepest sympathy.

To Joshua's Family, I'm shocked to be reading this in Saturday morning. Josh was always over at the New Hall with his friends, and I loved to tease him that he just needs to come on over an stay here since he stayed many nights with friends, studying etc. He would just smile or laugh, and one time he said "I need to!" I don't know what happened but GOD NEVER MAKES A MISTAKE! GOD NEEDED ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL FLOWER FOR HIS GARDEN! I'm praying with you and my heart is sadden at our loss of seeing his beautiful bubbly smile! Be Encouraged Family!

The untimely passing of Josh came as tremendous shock to me. I got to know Josh over the last year, as he was a student in my classes. I am known as being a pretty tough instructor who expects students to apply themselves as young adults in their work. Josh was one of those students who made sure I knew he was committed to whatever the course required. I remember his first speech he gave in the Public Speaking class. It was a narrative speech they were to record live while speaking to a group of people of their choosing. It was not very good. He kept his back to the camera, he moved restlessly around, and spoke so fast and so soft I couldn't hear him. Now, most of the time students ignore my comments and keep doing whatever they feel comfortable with even if it means earning a low grade. But not Josh. He took my notes as a challenge and by the time he gave his next speech, which was live in class, he was very focused. He spoke about basketball and how to coach young kids. It was full of passion and he kept us all engaged. From that point on I knew he was a hard worker and wanted to do well in his classes. I am very saddened by his loss...I only had a glimpse of his life...I feel blessed to have known him the short time I had...may God Bless Him and his family...and may they find comfort and peace in the love he shared with them, and which God can give them....
