Mr. Eugene Davenport

Mr. Eugene Davenport, son of the late Clarence Davenport, Sr., and the late Henrietta Washington Davenport was born April 22, 1958, in Newberry County, South Carolina. He transitioned from this Earthly life on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of Little River Baptist Church in Silverstreet, South Carolina.

Mr. Davenport was a member of the Sons of Aid Society Lodge # 57.

Eugene was predeceased by a granddaughter, Shakeela Farrow and three brothers, Clarence Davenport, Jr., Willie Lee Davenport and Robert Davenport.

Those who celebrate his life and cherish precious and loving memories are two sons, Eugene C. Fowler and Jaheim Davenport of Newberry, South Carolina; two daughters, LaToya S. Fowler and Shayla Fowler of Newberry, South Carolina; four grandsons, De'Vante' Fowler, Shakeem Farrow, Jaquavis E. Fowler and JerShawn Baxter; four granddaughters, Ja'Mesha Sheppard, Kynnedi Fowler, Ja'Shaunti Baxter and Shakeeya Farrow; three brothers, Harry Davenport (Carolyn) of Silverstreet, South Carolina, John Henry Davenport (Louise) of Joanna, South Carolina, Freddie Davenport (Christy) of Silverstreet, South Carolina; three sisters, Viola Pitts (John Pat) of Newberry, South Carolina, Henrietta Harmon (Leroy) of Silverstreet, South Carolina, Carolyn Williams of Joanna, South Carolina; one aunt, Ann Butler of Waterbury, Connecticut; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral service and burial will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Little River Baptist Church in Silverstreet, SC (viewing one hour prior to the service).
