 Mrs. Ora Mae Williams Cannon, daughter of the late Mrs. Marjorie Patterson Williams and the late Mr. Gussie Lee Williams, was born September 7, 1946, in Chapin, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life and entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 23, 2015.

Mrs. Cannon graduated from Richlex High School in Irmo, South Carolina and attended Benedict College. Later she was employed by Lowman Home of White Rock, SC.

She joined Mount Zion Baptist Church at an early age and later she served as a member of the Pastor’s Aid Committee.

Mrs. Cannon was married to the late Deacon Ulysees Cannon. They attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Leesville, SC for many years. During this time she served as Deaconess and sang on the Gospel Choir.

Mrs. Cannon was the president of the Woman’s Home Aid Society #97 and secretary of the Little Mountain Burial Aid Society.

Two sisters, Linda F. Williams and Patricia A. Reese and two brothers, Funcy L. Williams and Larry Williams, preceded her to Heaven.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include two sons, Michael Williams (Salisa) of Little Mountain, SC and Benjamin Cannon (Wanda) of Lexington, SC; two daughters, Lennoria Cannon of Lexington, SC and Alexis Reese of Greenville, SC; seven loving grandchildren, Sean, Matthew, Courtney, Toya, Brandon, Jasmine and Delexis; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Williams of Chapin, SC and Andy Williams of Aiken, SC; four sisters, Carrie Lormeus of Chapin, SC, Frances W. Hendrix and Mary L. Adams of Batesburg-Leesville, SC and Annie Dozier of Connecticut; a special dedicated cargiver, Vanessa Knight; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, all of whom grieve her transition, but rejoice that she is now resting with Lord.  

Funeral service and burial will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. November 27, 2015 at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chapin, SC. (Viewing one hour prior to the service).
